Electrical Engineer

Job Purpose

Responsible for coordination, monitoring and inspection of project construction activities to ensure that the quality of works is in compliance with the project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, standards, and within the budget and schedule.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinates closely with designers, consultants & Contractor’s electrical engineer to ensure that permanent works are properly coordinated with other disciplines.
  • Provide technical assistance during pre-bid stage, consultant and contractor selection, design proposals and construction bid evaluations, and coordination during construction bidding.
  • Provide engineering design/construction/commissioning consulting support to the development team in several projects, including project estimate costs, schedule, and basic engineering.
  • Review engineering design packages to ensure designs meet project standards and specifications. Originate and carry out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems, resolve complex technical problems and increase revenue.
  • Witnesses all projects testing, commissioning, and start-up activities to assure contractors’ compliance with the approved plans and procedures.
  • Reviews contractor-submitted shop and as-built drawings, materials submittals, procedures, project schedules, and work permits; and coordinates with the concerned departments for obtaining their approval and/or their comments.
  • Reviews projects electrical quality assurance and quality control programs, inspection and test plans, installation, testing, and commissioning procedures, for electrical equipment and cable work, and provides comments for transmittal to the contractors.
  • Arranges meetings between all projects concerned parties during construction.
  • Reviews and provides guidance in problem areas, recommends solutions, alternatives, and improvements, and performs investigation of material and system failures.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and conducts in conjunction with the concerned departments acceptance inspections and re-inspections of the completed permanent works, until all deficiencies are corrected and signed off.
  • Coordination with other utilities and disciplines
  • Reviews contractors’ invoices the electrical portion of the Projects.
  • Attends the projects site meeting with the Construction team.

Qualifications, Experience & skills:

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in: Medium and Low Voltage electrical systems, building electrical power distribution systems and equipment, cabling, Lighting systems, low current (is must).
  • 3:6 Years of experience.

Production Supervisor

Description :

• Handle full responsibility of the shift in the management of staff, management of production and quality targets, and the smooth running of the production processes.

• Take full responsibility for the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the company’s quality systems, processes, and procedures.

• Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff.

• Monitor, measure, and report on production-related process performance, general issues.

• Ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff.

• Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the companies Health and Safety policy.

• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills must be used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems at hand.

• Work closely with other engineers to ensure production handovers are effective communications tools.

• Ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift

• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace

• Responsible for ensuring company resources are used effectively to ensure the best-operating costs.

Qualifications, Experience & skills:

• Bachelor or diploma with Minimum 5 years to 8 years

Accordion Heading

Key Accountabilities:

1- Manage the QHSE team to achieve control, monitoring, and implementation of QHSE in line with policies and procedures.

2- Develop, maintain and improve the business Integrated Management System to underpin QHSE and operating standards

3- Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of QHSE Standards and the relevance to business objectives.

4- Develop Business Continuity Plans for all Service streams and participate in any tabletop or live exercises to test the plans.

5- Monitor, audit, and report on QHSE performance and provide assurance

6- Maintain quality, safety, and environmental systems; implement and audit to achieve compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001.

7- Perform internal and external QHSE audits.

8- Monitor, measure, and report on compliance with all QHSE legislation applicable to the company’s activities.

9- Provide interpretation of QHSE legislation, enforce QHSE legislation.

10- Source timely and competent advice from regulatory authorities as may be appropriate.

11- Conduct the continued Maintenance of ISO accreditation.

12- Monitoring the environmental and safety aspects of the plant and process

13- Provide leadership to support the management of supply chains and compliance with QHSE standards through ‘Point of Work Assessments’; audit and review of operating practice and systems.

14- Investigate indecent and Accidents and report results

15- Ensure appropriate resources are provided to support a compliant business and to identify any systemic weaknesses.

16- Employee is responsible to follow company-specific environmental & health/safety procedures and standards at all times

17- Any other function requested by the manager

Qualifications, Experience & skills:

· NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent

  • Robust knowledge and understanding of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation & best practice and appropriate industry-specific qualifications (NEBOSH & IEMA, Auditor Training)
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining QHSE systems
  • Excellent IT skills across Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work under pressure; think clearly and act decisively.
  • Good personal organization skills.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Team Player.
  • Good English
  • ISO certification
  • 8 years exp
